In a rapidly changing society, the Roanoke Public Libraries will ensure equitable access and guidance to the world of knowledge and ideas, enriching the life of our community and creating a climate of lifelong learning.

The Roanoke Public Libraries will enhance the quality of life and promote the well being of the community by providing a wide range of informational, educational and cultural services, resources, and programming. 

The Roanoke Public Libraries will be closed Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in observance of Independence Day.
