Roanoke Emergency Management
Emergency Management
The goal of Emergency Management is to prepare the City to respond to, recover from and mitigate against natural and man-made emergencies and disasters. Emergency Management works with local, state and federal government partners, as well as non-governmental organizations to achieve this goal. Emergency Management maintains the City's Emergency Operations Center in a state of constant readiness, and conducts exercises to test and continuously revise the City's Emergency Operations Plan.
The Office of Emergency Management is also in the process of compiling a Disaster Needs Registry for the citizens of Roanoke. Please take a few minutes and fill out this registry or check out our Disaster Needs Registry Page: http://roanokenet.roanokeva.gov/disasterneeds/
